Care Instructions for Embroidered Apparel

To ensure the longevity of your embroidered items and keep them looking their best, please follow these care instructions:

General Care:

  • Washing: Always wash your embroidered items inside out to protect the embroidery. Use cold water and a gentle cycle to minimize wear.
  • Detergent: Use a mild detergent without bleach or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the embroidery and fabric.
  • Drying: Air drying is preferred. If using a dryer, tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.

For Specific Fabrics:

  • Cotton: Cotton items can be washed in warm water, but air drying is recommended to prevent shrinking.
  • Polyester: Polyester blends should be washed in cold water. Avoid high heat when drying, as it can cause fading.
  • Hats: For embroidered hats, hand washing is recommended. Use a soft cloth to gently clean the exterior and allow to air dry.

Ironing:

  • Ironing Embroidery: If ironing is necessary, turn the item inside out and use a low heat setting. Avoid direct contact with the embroidered area to prevent damage.
  • Steam: Using a steam iron can help remove wrinkles without direct contact.

Storing:

  • Store embroidered items in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
  • Avoid hanging embroidered garments on hangers for extended periods, as this can stretch the fabric. Fold them instead.

Additional Tips:

  • Stains: Treat stains promptly using a mild stain remover. Test any stain removal products on a small, inconspicuous area first.
  • Avoid Fabric Softeners: Fabric softeners can leave residues that may affect the embroidery.
